Born 1961 in Athens, Greece. Moved to England to study mathematics and economics. Appointed to teach economics at the Universities of Essex, East Anglia, Cambridge. In 1988 he escaped England for Sydney, Australia, where he taught game theory, economics and political philosophy at the University of Sydney. After spells at European Universities (University of Glasgow, Université Catholique de Louvain), in 2000 he returned to Greece to teach political economy at the University of Athens. His books include Rational Conflict (Blackwell, 1991), Foundations of Economics (Routledge, 1998), Game Theory: A critical text (Routledge, 2004), Modern Political Economics: Making sense of the post-2008 world (Routledge, 2011),The Global Minotaur (Zed Books, 2011). He has published extensively in Science and Society, The Economic Journal, Erkenntnis, The Journal of Economic Methodology etc. Between 1989 and 2005 he authored and delivered a weekly current affairs radio program on SBS-Radio Australia.
